Francesco Bagnaia escaped from the MotoGP Catalan GP crash with injuries that are far less severe than it could be had: he did not suffer any fractures.
The Ducati rider did a highside at the exit of the second corner of the race and was hit in the legs by Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) – receiving on-track assistance before being taken to the circuit’s medical center and later to the hospital for more detailed medical checks.
The Borgo Panigale manufacturer issued an update on Bagnaia’s health, which reads: ‘Pecco Bagnaia has sustained multiple contusions, but further medical checks have shown no fractures. The reigning World Champion will fly to Italy with the team tonight’.
