Luca Marini, currently in eighth place in the championship, heads to the Malaysian MotoGP this weekend. The rider from the Mooney VR46 Racing Team has been putting in strong performances and recently secured a pole position in Indonesia.
For the Italian, Sepang is a circuit filled with fond memories and a place where he’s usually competitive: ‘I’m always happy to return to Sepang, one of my favorite tracks and where I achieved my first victory in the World Championship in 2018 in Moto2. I have always done well here, managing to adapt to the temperatures, which are often truly prohibitive’.
Marini assured that he approaches the Malaysian GP with a positive mindset and is determined to have a strong finish to the season: ‘With the shoulder it’s better, in Thailand we managed Saturday’s race and the weather conditions well, while in the race we struggled more. However, the feelings are positive. It will be a busy three weeks, the aim is to close the season collecting as much as possible’.
