Malaysia is the home GP for CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team and Razlan Razali didn’t hide that this is a special place to race at. Looking forward for what is coming, the malaysian approaches this round with some caution as given the conditions this might not be the best for the Aprilia bike.
The Founder and Team Principal Aprilia’s satellite spoke before anything else about how special this one is for him: ‘The Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit will always have a special place in my heart. Obviously, it’s our home Grand Prix, but more importantly, I spent 11 years of my career working in Sepang Circuit and I always look forward to come back to represent Malaysia in some ways, being the only South-East-Asian Team Principal in MotoGP. I look forward to see all the Malaysian fans’.
He then focused on what is coming for his team, and showed some concern on how this can be tough for both of their riders, Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez: ‘To race in Sepang will not be easy; a combination of heat, humidity and rain and as we saw last time in Buriram, heat is not a good friend of the Aprilia RS-GP and I really hope that something can be done to make both, Miguel and Raul feel a little bit more comfortable on the bike in the Malaysian heat. I’m sure both our riders will do their very best for the team being a home Grand Prix to get the best results as possible’.
Remember that last race weekend Oliveira had a problem with his bike and was forced to retire earlier, with Raul Fernandez and the factory riders, Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Viñales also had serious issues with the bike’s temperature.
