Fabio Quartararo was the fastest man of the warm-up for the MotoGP Thai GP. The session took place on Sunday morning in Buriram. The top two riders were separated by just 0.002 seconds.
Riders and teams had ten minutes to make final adjustments to their bikes for the main race. Only two riders took the lead during the session: Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) was the first to complete a flying lap, briefly losing the top spot twice to Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati).
With less than a minute remaining, the French rider posted the fastest time of 1m30.257s. He had a medium front tyre and a hard rear tyre on his bike. Bagnaia finished in second place, just two-thousandths of a second behind Quartararo, followed by Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha).
Pol Espargaró (GasGas Tech3/KTM) and Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) completed the top five. Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati), who won the sprint race yesterday, could only manage ninth place, trailing Quartararo by 0.307s.
