Razlan Razali considered the last result from his team on Indian soil to be positive but recalled there is room from improvement from both riders, Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliveira, who are apparently on different moments currently with the bike.

Here is the review from the Founder and Team Principal CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team: ‘We had a 10th for Raul and a 12th for Miguel which proved to be a very difficult, intense and extremely hot condition for our riders at the inaugural Indian Grand Prix’.

Razali then spoke briefly about his two riders performance: ‘Miguel faced difficulties from Friday, but I think we can be happy with his result. For Raul, he is very much comfortable on his RS-GP and we are happy for him in the top 10. We know what we have to do for Raul and we need to investigate and do our best for Miguel in the next round’.

And ended with a wish towards the next season and a word of appreciation: ‘So, that’s Indian Grand Prix, it was exciting, it was quite an experience and very well received for the first year and we look forward to come back in 2024. Thank you India for the hospitality, it was fantastic. And next week, we say Konnichiwa for the Japanese Grand Prix’.

This Indian GP had another strong performance from the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team duo that clearly left Wilco Zeelenberg excited about. Raul Fernandez was the highlight of this sunday, while Miguel Oliveira amassed a few points also.

The Team Manager of the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team was ‘happy’ with the performance shown, on a new track: ‘We’ve just finished our first race here on Indian soil and we were quite happy honestly with the track layout and with the performance of the whole grid. Of course, it’s not an easy weekend when you come to a new track’.

He didn’t forgot the bikes of the riders also had some issues, which wasn’t seen before, while still praising the overall result of the team, where Raul Fernandez was the one to stand out the most: ‘The guys and also the bikes were not really as good as we had it in Misano and Barcelona. But we have both boys in the points, a 10th for Raul, which is very positive. Last time, we were sixth and eighth and now 10th and 12th, which means good points’.

Zeelenberg yet said it wasn’t a result to be super excited about, despite being positive, and is already looking at the next race in Japan: ‘Anyway, this is not something to celebrate like crazy, but both riders finished a heavy race like this is very important. So, we keep this experience for next year. Let’s focus on Motegi now, where we are actually building up already in three days. Job done here, so we can go forward to the next event’.

Brad Binder was once again one of the highlights of MotoGP this weekend in India, with the KTM rider finishing both races in fourth position, which means a recovery of eight positions in each. Francesco Guidotti said that the team had to be happy with the result, especially considering that they didn’t manage to get the best out of the KTM’s potential in Buddh.

The austrian manufacturer’s Team Manager recalled Binder’s performance on sunday: ‘Another solid race for Brad. He had a good start but was hit in the first turn and lost a few positions. His pace was enough to fight for the top five. We couldn’t make the best of the technical package here so to come away with two 4th places means we have to be happy’.

For the italian, it’s still desirable to be further ahead, even if the objectives have been met: ‘Of course, we should be more in front but the result of this sunday was OK. Being on, or as close to, the podium is our seasonal target and while you can always want better now-and-then we have to be happy with a 4th’.

Owner of yesterday’s tenth place in the MotoGP race in India, Raul Fernandez is increasingly comfortable at the helm of the Aprilia RS-GP and believes that it can be a means for the manufacturer to grow even further, while he himself believes that he is now approaching his real level.

The CryptoDATA RNF rider began by commenting on his weekend in Buddh: ‘Overall I’m happy with the weekend, but the race was very difficult. At turn 1 a rider came on strong and I had to go wide and lost six positions and today in MotoGP it’s very difficult to overtake’.

The #25 then asked for some extra work from the manufacturer, explaining that there are points where there is room for improvement: ‘Also, in some aspects we have to improve the bike, on the straight we fall behind and I don’t understand why I can’t follow the others, in the first moments we lost a lot of metres to them and then we couldn’t attack them. Basically I’m happy because I can ride the way I want to, but we need more help from Aprilia’.

And he looked at himself individually and how he believes he can be an asset to the Noale team: ‘Now we’re at a very competitive level and I think I can also help Aprilia to raise the level, they can help me and now it’s time, I think, to work for the future. Honestly I’m happy, I understand the bike and I can do what I want. My weekend was very consistent, always inside the top ten’.

He concluded: ‘At Silverstone we took a step forward and now I can say that my maximum level is coming and that makes me happy, but it’s not enough: I always want more. It’s good but Aprilia wants more, but at the moment we have to try to raise the level together’.

Massimo Meregalli was super happy with the former world champion performance at Buddh: ‘What a race! These 21 laps were a really tough challenge for the riders. Fabio rode a faultless race though, and that is what got him onto the podium. It was great to see him battle at the front again where he belongs’.

Now comes the manufacturer’s home GP, with more motivation: ‘It gives us extra motivation for Yamaha’s home GP in Japan next week’.

Fourteenth in Buddh for the Indian Grand Prix this sunday, Jack Miller was unable to implement the changes made to the KTM RC16’s set-up and was therefore “forced” to use the same ones from Saturday, thus maintaining the problems that have been affecting him for ‘a few rounds now’, he said.

On the fact that on saturday he mentioned that he had some changes to the bike’s set-up that could help him, something that apparently didn’t happen, the australian replied: ‘We tried a different set-up this morning at the Warm Up. It wasn’t many things just a few and I wasn’t entirely happy with it. I tried it again and we went back to what I knew from the Sprint race, to take it into the main race, and I didn’t do well in turn five, eight, nine, ten… in those corners I wasn’t able to bring much speed or much confidence’.

The australian concluded: ‘It’s something that’s happened to us in the last few races, apart from that grip problem, and what we tested at Misano could be an improvement but we have to get it right. The guys are working on it and there are other things that the team and I can do together to try and improve our speed in general’.

The MotoGP race at the Buddh circuit in India was an eventful one for Jack Miller. In his own words, he described the weekend as one filled with highs and lows. Despite a promising start, finishing 14th was not the outcome he had hoped for.

Miller managed to navigate the chaos of the first corner during the Sprint race on Saturday, securing a seventh-place finish. However, Sunday’s race was a different story. Early on, he had a minor collision and went off the track at Turn 1. Attempting to recover his position on the second lap, he made an error that sent him off the track again. This put him at a significant disadvantage for the rest of the race. Despite his best efforts to catch up, he found himself stuck behind Honda’s Stefan Bradl for several laps, causing his front tire temperature to skyrocket. Once he managed to overtake Bradl, he was able to cool down the tire and put in some decent laps, but by then, it was too late to make a significant impact on his position.

Miller also highlighted some challenges he faced during the race. He struggled with grip throughout, which affected his ability to maintain corner speed. The grip level seemed to have decreased from the Sprint race, causing a lack of confidence in his riding. He mentioned that this grip issue has been a recurring problem in recent races.

Speaking about the Buddh circuit, Miller expressed his appreciation for the track layout. He found it technically challenging, with its fast chicanes reminding him of Mugello. The track’s elevation changes also added to its complexity, making it a visually deceiving and unique circuit.

On a personal note, Miller shared the joy of becoming a father. His daughter, Pip, was born the week before the race, making it incredibly hard for him to leave home for India. He described the feeling of becoming a dad as a “complete game-changer” and mentioned how emotional the experience has been for him.

Looking ahead, Miller is optimistic about the upcoming race in Japan. He has fond memories from the previous year and is confident in his bike and team. He emphasized the importance of continuous improvement, as every competitor is enhancing their performance each weekend.

Jack Miller wasn’t particularly happy after sunday’s race at the Indian GP and admitted that he had a lot of difficulties and lacked a bit of everything, as has been the case in recent rounds. Grip was the biggest problem, he said, but not the only one.

The KTM rider was 14th on sunday and commented on his race, listing the main problems: ‘Well… it wasn’t ideal. It started off difficult and I worked until the end, but today I lacked pace, grip, corner speed… Grip more than anything. From the start I felt the bike was moving a lot at the front, at the rear and I had to slow down to improve the way I cornered’.

He also recalled how he took a more defensive stance in the first corner, and how he immediately had to be in «pursue mode»: ‘I was close to some guys in the first corner and I kind of dived to the outside to avoid contact, and then I got really buried at the back and tried to recover a lot of positions in one go on the first lap and again I had to go for the escape. I tried to put tuck my head down and attack…’.

What a race, what drama and uncertainty right to the end! The Indian GP was full of emotion and today it was Marco Bezzecchi who dominated the race, where Francesco Bagnaia crashed, and Fabio Quartararo finished on the podium… with Jorge Martin almost giving up second place on the last lap.

Everything was in place at the Buddh circuit for sunday’s first MotoGP race: Marco Bezzechi started from pole position, with Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia in first.

A curiosity: the three riders on the front row of the grid had different tyre selections.

And right from the start, Martin was the strongest, and he took the lead straight away, with the first few moments of the race without any chaos, this time in the first corner: only a few riders extended their trajectory a little, but without crashes.

It wasn’t until the first corner that Bagnaia moved into the lead, with Bezzecchi then moving into the lead on the first lap.

Top five after the first three laps: Bezzecchi, Bagnaia, Martin, Marc Marquez and Fabio Quartararo. The best rider on a KTM was Brad Binder (eighth), with Aleix Espargaro the best on an Aprilia, in ninth.

Augusto Fernández, meanwhile, was the first to abandon the race as initial reports indicated a problem with his bike.

With 16 laps to go Marquez, who was in fourth, crashed on the first lap but resumed the race in a distant 16th place behind Miguel Oliveira. 3.041s divided the spaniard from the portuguese.

Bezzechi remained at the front of the race and with a comfortable margin over Martín, second: 3.324s, with Bagnaia in turn 0.533s behind Martin. Quartararo was fourth after Marquez’s crash, and Joan Mir kept Honda’s representation in the top five alive.

Eight laps into the race, that was the top ten:

A little further down, Marc Márquez was already 15th, with Oliveira dropping to 16th. Pol Espargaró was next in Márquez’s sights: 0.190s separated the two former team-mates.

A. Espargaro was the next to have problems with his bike. The spaniard was 19th and still riding, but away from everyone and everything, with what looked like another mechanical problem, which would be confirmed shortly afterwards: the spaniard had, like Miguel Oliveira yesterday, a problem with the gearbox on his RS-GP.

As far as the race lead was concerned, Bezzecchi remained very comfortably in front with a 4.5s lead over Martín, with Bagnaia only… 0.040s. Quartararo was fourth and had Bagnaia at 1.727s.

Unsurprisingly, Bagnaia confirmed the overtake on Martin and… Quartararo was also gaining time on the #89.

With eight laps to go… disaster for Bagnaia. Shortly after taking second place, he lost control of his motorbike and crashed. Martin was second again and Quartararo was provisionally on the podium.

With seven laps to go, this was the top five: Bezzecchi, Martin, Quartararo, Mir and Brad Binder.

Here’s the top ten with five laps to go, with one highlight: Marc Marquez was already inside the top ten:

Seconds later and with part of the zip of his protective suit open, Martin lost a few tenths to close his suit, which allowed Quartararo to get closer. 1.3s divided them in the fight for second place.

Two laps to go and Bezzecchi was in another championship, such was the gap to Martin, 6.850s. Quartararo remained in third place with a 3.616s lead over Binder, who had overtaken Mir earlier.

Fabio Di Giannantonio was also another casualty, dropping out of the race.

And the drama was reserved for the last lap: Martín made a mistake and went wide and Quartararo came into second place, Martin responded immediately and retook second place but the frenchman got marginally ahead of the Spaniard who… didn’t give up the position.

The race ended soon after with Bezzecchi taking the win and 44 points off the top of the world standings:
