Franco Morbidelli was from achieving his best MotoGP season result at the Thai Grand Prix, finishing 11th. However, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider displayed a more competitive performance and was in the battle for a top-ten position.
Asked whether he expects to carry the positive things he found in Buriram to the final races of the season, the Italian rider admitted that the next round will be a new start:
– I definetely hope so, but it’s gonna be a different story, with different tyres, and everything. We start from a blank canvas in Malaysia. But I was very fast last year in Malaysia, so we go with a lot of confidence.
