Francesco Bagnaia extended his lead in the MotoGP World Championship with a third-place finish in the Malaysian MotoGP. The Ducati rider was only beaten by his teammate Enea Bastianini – who emerged as the winner – and Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducati).
In the flash interview with the official broadcast, the championship leader expressed satisfaction with the outcome of a race where making mistakes was easy, and he didn’t have the best sensations during braking:
– I tried to close the gap to Álex and «Bestia», but I was struggling a lot on braking. But I’m happy. We managed to open a bit the gap in the championship and today was very easy to commit mistakes with the front. I’m happy with the package we have, the performance we demonstrated, I’m very happy.
